Takamine GN51CE: Build Quality and Finish

The GN51CE is a NEX format steel-string guitar from the 2013 Takamine G-Series, has a round shape and waist as slim as that of smaller acoustics yet has a deep voice as big as that of a dreadnought. This guitar is the perfect stage and studio companion for singer-songwriters and finger-picking style players. The rosewood resonance box and spruce top give this instrument rich and balanced tonality while the cream-coloured bindings and abalone pearl sound-hole rosette add aesthetic elegance.

TP-4TD Preamp with Built-In Tuner

The stage ready GN51CE is fitted with a Takamine TP-4TD preamp with volume control and 3-band 'shelving' EQ split into Bass, Middle and Treble so you can dial in your amplified sound. It also includes an auto-chromatic tuner with LED display and the whole thing is run on one 9V battery that clips seamlessly into a fitted compartment in the body and has its own status LED so you know when to pick up a fresh battery.
